美音異星人による個展「恋するマスク＝変するマスク」をタメンタイギャラリー鶴見町ラボにて開催します。会期は2023年7月21日（金）から30日（日）まで。

美音異星人は、「アヴァンギャルド・ポップ」を主題としたパフォーマンスを中心に活動するアーティストであり、現在は広島を拠点に各地で作品を発表しています。劇場やステージではない空間も舞台としたパフォーマンスを展開しており、タメンタイギャラリー鶴見町ラボでは2022年2月に「タメンタイでお邪魔します」by Bion Mask Girl と題した「制作しながらのパフォーマンス」企画を開催したほか、2022年11月には社会実験を行う民間空地「ツカノマテラス」（広島市）を舞台にしたゲリラパフォーマンス「Pi Pi Pi Pi ….（ネガティブな惑星から）」を敢行しました。

近年は、COVID-19 パンデミックをテーマに撮影したセルフポートレイト作品 “Mask Girl”シリーズをはじめ、リティ・パン監督による映画 Irradiated  （2020年べ ルリン国際映画祭最優秀ドキュメンタリー賞受賞）におけるゴースト役での出演や、映画祭でのパフォーマンス披露など、活動は多岐にわたります。

本展は、写真とテキストを中心としたストーリー仕立ての展覧会です。マスクにまつわる「愛」と「変」を扱った「マスクに恋をしたアイドルの狂想曲」の主人公は、”アート系美少女アイドル”ことBion。コロナ禍の混乱を物質文化から大胆に読み替え、マスクに対して社会的に投影されてきたさまざまなイメージと、物質としての魅力やおもしろさを重ね合わせます。素材には、政府から希望者に配布された布マスクを用いました。

会場では、出展作品やストーリーをまとめた写真集を販売する予定です。

なお、会期中の2023年7月29日（土）には、co-ba hiroshima （広島市中区）にて、「恋するパフォーマンスーみんなでナーガダンスー」と題した参加型のパフォーマンスイベントも開催します。あわせてご覧ください。美音異星人「恋するパフォーマンスーみんなでナーガダンスー」は開催延期となりました（2023/07/27更新）。

緊急企画として、「ゲリラでナーガダンス@鶴見町」と題したゲリラパフォーマンスを行うこととなりました。2023年7月29日（土）18:00ごろからタメンタイギャラリー鶴見町ラボを出発し、Bion Mask Girlとピンクダンサーが広島の街をナーガダンスで行進します。この模様はタメンタイのInstagramアカウント（@tamentai_gallery）でライブ配信も予定しています。（2023/7/29更新）

A solo exhibition by Bion, Love is Masked, The Metamorphosis will be held at the TAMENTAI GALLERY Tsurumi-cho Lab. The show will run from Friday, July 21 to Sunday, July 30, 2023.

Bion is an artist who focuses on “avant-garde pop” themed performances, and is currently based in Hiroshima, showing work in various locations. 

In recent years has been working on the “Mask Girl” series of self-portraits shot on the theme of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the film Irradiated (winner of the Best Documentary Award at the 2020 Berlin International Film Festival), directed by Rithy Pan, in which played the role of a ghost.

It is a narrative exhibition, the protagonist of an idol who fell in love with a mask, of photographs and text. It deals with the love and strangeness associated with the fabric. The materials used were cloth masks distributed by the government to those who asked them.

A photo book of the exhibited works and stories will be on sale at the exhibition.

On Saturday, July 29, 2023, during the exhibition period, a participatory performance event titled “Performance in Love – Naga Dance with Everyone” will be held at co-ba hiroshima (Naka-ku, Hiroshima City). Please join the event as well. The performance event scheduled for July 29 at co-ba hiroshima has been postponed (updated 2023/07/27).

Instead, we are going to hold a guerrilla performance titled Guerrilla Naga Dance @Tsurumi-cho on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at around 18:00. Bion Mask Girl and Pink Dancer will leave from TAMENTAI Gallery Tsurumicho Lab and march in Naga Dance in the city of Hiroshima!
